Law enforcement agencies in Stafford, Spotsylvania, and Fredericksburg are hosting a free Senior Safety Expo this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at James Monroe High School.
The event will offer information and resources tailored for older adults, including scam awareness, details on Project Lifesaver, and updates on local senior community programs.
Organizers say the goal is to help seniors stay informed, connected, and safe in their daily lives. We talked with Sgt. Amanda Mele with the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office and Sgt. Steven Curtis with the Stafford Sheriff's Office.
