As people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Kurt Erickson with the Washington Regional Alcohol Program says the most important step is making a plan before heading out. That could mean choosing a designated driver, using a rideshare service, or taking advantage of the group’s SoberRide program available in Northern Virginia. Erickson says impaired driving crashes are completely preventable if people plan ahead. And if you spot a suspected drunk driver, he says report it--#77.
