Customers of Columbia Gas of Virginia may be eligible for crisis grants through Virginia’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. Spokeswoman Stephannie Benson says the funding can help income-eligible households facing heating emergencies, including equipment repairs or replacement, security deposits, and past-due utility bills.
Residents can apply online through the CommonHelp website, by calling 1-855-635-4370, or by contacting their local department of social services. The deadline to apply is March 16.
