(Newburg)- The Maryland Transportation Authority is slowly moving forward with the construction of the new Nice/Middleton Bridge in Southern Maryland. Crews have announced that overnight lane closures will take place on Southbound Route-301 prior to the bridge. It’s being done so that officials can install the new overhead signage. The single lane closure will begin on Monday and last through at least the end of the year. Officials are anticipating the new bridge to be ready by early 2023.
