(Richmond)- A tuition-free community college option will soon be available for thousands of Virginians. Governor Northam signed the ‘Get Skilled, Get a Job, Give Back’ initiative yesterday which will provide free courses at community colleges for low-and-middle income students who are pursing high-demand jobs. The ‘G-3’ program targets industries that include health care, manufacturing, I-T, early childhood education and more. Eligibility is based off of the FAFSA form. Governor Northam says this will help an estimated 36-thousand students.
