(Chesterfield)- Chesterfield state Senator Amanda Chase is suing the state GOP. She is accusing the party of disenfranchising Republican voters for planning a convention to nominate its next candidate for governor. The lawsuit filed yesterday claims holding a convention would violate Governor Northam’s restrictions on gatherings due to COVID-19. Chase has already announced intentions to run for the party’s nomination in the governor’s race.
