Classroom Instruction Delayed At Hanover School Due To COVID-19

(Hanover)- There’s a change of plans for in-person instruction at one Hanover County school.  The district decided to postpone the opening of Liberty Middle School after three employees tested positive for COVID-19.  Students will instead begin the academic year virtually on Thursday as administrators await word from health officials on when Liberty is safe to open its classrooms.  District officials say more than a dozen staff members are now monitoring themselves after possible exposure.  Custodial staff will complete a deep cleaning of the school in the meantime.
