(Richmond)- State officials are saying no to utility shutoffs. Companies cannot shut off electric, gas, and water bills until September 16th for those struggling financially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The State Corporation Commission issued the order yesterday which includes sewage bills. State officials have been working with residents since March to avoid such things. The General Assembly is currently in a special session and will likely address the issue further.
