(Richmond)- The General Assembly is moving forward with a plan to decriminalize marijuana. The House of Delegates passed a bill which brings the punishment for possessing a half ounce or less of pot down to a 25-dollar fine. Nine Republicans joined House Democrats in support of the plan. Some organizations like the ACLU of Virginia have been calling for the outright legalization of small amounts of marijuana.
