Rising Sea Levels Could Cost Virginia Beach

(Virginia Beach)-  A new study indicates that climate change could lead to billions of dollars in losses for Virginia Beach.  The finding was the first part of a study commissioned in 2015 looking into possible impacts of climate change on the state’s largest city.  It indicates that increased rainfall, flooding and rising sea waters need to be considered as the city makes future infrastructure plans.  Without taking action, the city stands to lose billions of dollars in the coming decades.
