(Richmond)- Governor Northam is looking to secure 90-million-dollars to help Virginia farms become more environmentally friendly. The governor says he’s proposing to use some of the state’s surplus revenue in a cost-sharing program that will help repair dams and preserve wetlands. The Stormwater Local Assistance Fund would also receive 50-million-dollars to help in stormwater runoff. The governor already announced this week that he’d like to see 270-million-dollars go towards schools as part of his budget proposals.
