(Richmond)- Patrols are increasing across the state this weekend as more travelers hit the road for the unofficial end of summer. Virginia State Police is taking part in the Operation CARE initiative, or Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort, through midnight Monday. Officers will concentrate on targeting impaired drivers and seat belt violations.
