Virginia A-G Sues NCAA Over Name, Image, Likeness Restrictions

(Richmond)- Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares has joined the Attorney General of Tenessee in filing an antitrust lawsuit against the NCAA. According to Miyares’ office, the NCAA’s restrictions on student-athletes prevent them from negotiating and fully benefiting from their Name, Image and Likeness rights. The lawsuit alleges that these restrictions “violate federal antitrust law and is harmful to current and future student-athletes.”
