(DC)- Metro wants to increase the maximum speed for trains to 75 miles per hour in some parts of the system. Metro officials say the plan will save riders time and save about two million a year in Metro’s budget. Metro officials say they plan to increase train speeds starting this summer, with the Red and Silver lines seeing the biggest change.
