(Richmond)- The Virginia Department of Education has provided $12 million in state grant funding to 483 schools in 98 districts across the state – all in an effort to keep students, faculty, and visitors safe. According to VDOE, the 2023-2024 school year grants will pay for measures like security card access systems, visitor ID badging systems, surveillance cameras, interior school bus cameras, two-way radios for buses and other security enhancements.
