NCAA Rejects JMU Attempt To Play In A Bowl Game

(Harrisonburg)- The NCAA has reportedly rejected a waiver request by James Madison University which would have let their football team play a bowl game in this year’s postseason. According to ESPN the decision means JMU’s football team will not be allowed to play in a bowl game unless there are not enough .500 teams to fill the full slate of postseason games. The team is undefeated and leads the Sun Belt with a 10-0 record. The NCAA has a rule barring teams from postseason play for the first two years after making the transition to the highest tier.
