Why Are Flags At Half-Staff In Virginia?

(Richmond)- Governor Youngkin has ordered all U-S flags and the Commonwealth of Virginia to be flown at half-staff on all state and local buildings and grounds. The governor ordered the flags to be lowered in honor of the victims of the shooting at the University of Virginia last year and the wider community affected by the tragedy. Three UVA football players were shot and killed on the bus while two other students were injured.
