(DC)- Metro has announced details of a shutdown of the Red Line beginning later this year. From December 18 to December 30, Farragut North, Metro Center, and Gallery Place will all close. The reason is major construction work to shore up a beam. Metro says next month it will announce details about shuttle buses and ways to get around the shutdown.
