(Undated)- Virginia ranks number 2 this year on CNBC’s list of America’s Best States for Business. North Carolina was first. Last year Virginia was third. The poll was critical of high costs in Virginia. The commonwealth also ranked in the top 10 for other categories, including workforce, infrastructure, business friendliness and access to capital. Maryland was 28th with low scores for the cost of doing business.
