(DC)- Mystics forward Shakira Austin will be out for at least three weeks following an injury in Sunday night’s game against the New York Liberty. Austin was carried off the court due to a hip strain after falling awkwardly in overtime. The team says she won’t need surgery and will be re-evaluated once the three weeks are up to see how her body is feeling. Austin is from the Fredericksburg area. She played high school basketball at JM, King George and Colonial Forge.
