(Prince William)- The Prince William County School Board will vote Wednesday on whether to install weapons detectors inside its high schools and middle schools. After months of public meetings, it is expected to pass. The technology is already used at sports arenas and stadiums. Scanners are planned to go in 34 middle and high schools across Prince William County by this fall. Using artificial intelligence, hi-tech scanners can detect guns, knives and even vaping devices.
