(Ladysmith)- V-DOT has made some major improvements to a popular rest area. There are now almost 50 parking spaces for trucks and large vehicles at the Safety Rest Area on I-95 southbound at Ladysmith. This is one of the state’s most visited rest areas directly between Fredericksburg and Richmond. The expansion project also includes 55 parking spaces for cars.
