Free Program Available To Help Get Safe Water In Public Schools

(Richmond)- A state program free of charge is available to help make sure public schools have safe drinking water. The state Department of Health and the Environmental Protection Agency plan to test over 40-thousand samples of school drinking water to see if the water shows a presence of lead.  Day cares and public schools in particular those in older buildings are being encouraged to sign up online at LeadInVAWater-dot-Org to be selected for the tests and any potential remediation.
