Stadium Tabled In Virginia

(Ashburn)- Plans for a new stadium in Virginia will have to wait.  The General Assembly tabled legislation that would have determined the amount of funding offered by the state.  The Commanders said in a statement that it supports the decision to postpone the vote and further examine the situation because of the “complexity of this endeavor, coupled with the remarkable economic development opportunity” they believe the new venue project represents.  The Commanders recently purchased 200 acres of land in Woodbridge but do have the option to back out of the deal if they don’t get help from the state and county.
