(Springfield)- It turns out that a coyote that bit four-people over the weekend in Fairfax County did indeed have rabies. Officials were concerned that the coyote was rabid as soon as they learned of the situation. An officer shot and killed the animal Sunday after being bit. Health officials are urging anyone that was bitten or scratched by the animal over the weekend to contact the Fairfax County health department.
