(Richmond)- State Police say eight people lost their lives in traffic crashes over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Authorities say that five of the victims were not wearing a seatbelt. The data was from midnight Friday morning until late Monday night. State Police noted there was a sharp decrease in road fatalities compared to Memorial Day weekend in 2021.
