Names To Be Read At Vietnam Veterans Memorial

(DC)- Veterans who served in the Vietnam War and later died from injuries from the war will be remembered next month. For the first time ever, the names of five-thousand veterans who later died from injuries in the Vietnam War will be read aloud during a special service on June 17th. The event comes on the 40th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the National Mall. Since 1982 there have been calls to inscribe the names of veterans who died from injuries suffered in the conflict at the memorial. There is a special In-Memory Plaque that sits yards away from the Vietnam Wall that honors the men and woman who served in Vietnam.
