(Harrisonburg)- Softball will no longer be played at James Madison University for the remainder of the 2022 season. The decision comes after player Lauren Bernett died suddenly last month. School officials say the team will take the time to continue healing and honoring her memory. Bernett’s death was ruled a suicide.
