(Richmond)- Teachers are making less money in Virginia than those in other states. That’s according to a report by the National Education Association that shows the average teacher was making around 65-thousand-dollars annually back in 2020. That’s compared to Virginia’s average of 58-thousand-dollars per year. New educators in the Commonwealth are averaging around 42-thousand-dollars annually.
