Youngkin Produces New Crimes For Pot Possession

(Richmond)- Governor Youngkin is calling for a higher penalty for personal possession of more than two ounces of marijuana.  The proposed amendment Youngkin comes less than a year after Virginia became the first state in the South to legalize recreational weed.  Current law allows Virginians 21 and older to possess up to an ounce of marijuana and cultivate up to four plants in their household.
