(Richmond)- State Police are warning Virginians about scammers that are claiming to be law enforcement officers. Virginia State Police reports that phone scammers are calling people to tell them that they have a warrant for arrest and that they need to send money. Officials say that you should hang up the phone if you get a similar call. VSP says they never contact people by phone to request payments. You may also report a scam to the Federal Trade Commission online at ftc-dot-gov.
