(DC)- Following years of delays and construction problems, the next phase of the Metro Silver Line is on track to open this summer. The project, which is being built by the Airport Authority, is expected to be turned over to Metro this summer. Once operational, the Silver Line will include six new stations in Northern Virginia and will expand service to Dulles International Airport. Officials say the timing of the project is important as people migrate back to mass transit following the pandemic, which has kept riders away from buses and trains.
