Lincoln Memorial To Get A Facelift

(DC)- To mark the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln Memorial dedication, the attraction is in line for a major facelift. The National Park Service says the memorial is scheduled for a multi-million-dollar renovation. According to the Park Service, the memorial and an 800-square-foot museum space, including bathrooms and elevator, will get an upgrade. Six years ago funding from philanthropist David Rubenstein was earmarked for turning a large, undeveloped undercroft at the memorial into an exhibit. The memorial to the 16th president of the United States was dedicated in 1922.
