(DC)- Metro riders are about to see a lot more trains hit the tracks across the D.C. region. Beginning today, weekday service along the Blue, Orange and Silver lines will increase to every 20-minutes. Officials say this will help reduce crowding on the platforms which has been an issue as of late. Weekend service on all three-lines will run every 24-minutes.
