(Richmond)- History has been made in Virginia. Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears became the first Black woman to preside over the Senate in Virginia on Monday. Sears is also a former member of the House. As Lieutenant Governor, Sears will cast any tie-breaking votes in the Senate if needed.
