(Richmond)- State health leaders have confirmed the first case of the Omicron variant in Virginia. According to the Virginia Department of Health, the case was detected in an adult from the Northwest region of the state. The individual has not recently traveled outside of the country. The Omicron variant has been detected in more than 20-states.
