(Richmond)- The family of a fallen Virginia State Trooper has learned that their mortgage has been paid off. The Tunnel of Towers Foundation did the honors for the family of Trooper Chad Dermyer. The foundation has been known to cover mortgages for families of first responders who have died. Dermyer was fatally shot while responding to a call in 2016 in Richmond.
