(Fairfax)- State Police say someone has been impersonating the police. Officials with State Police say that someone has cloned their phone number in Northern Virginia and some have received phone calls asking them for money. The scammer tells residents that they have a warrant for their arrest or someone has stolen their identity. State Police say they will never contact you by phone about anything like this. If you receive a similar phone call, you’re asked to hang up and contact the Federal Trade Commission.
