Lee Pedestal Being Removed in Richmond

(Richmond)- The pedestal that once displayed the statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee in Richmond is about to come down. Governor Northam says it will be stored until a decision is made on what to do next. Meanwhile, the state-owned land will be turned over to the City of Richmond as part of an agreement. Work is expected to begin today and it could last until the end of the month. The Lee statue was removed earlier this year.
