(Richmond)- Upgrades are complete to the Virginia Employment Commission’s system. The new Virginia Unemployment Insurance System is open for customers across the state after being shut down for more than a week. People may now file their weekly claims online or through the phone. The new system includes a dashboard for filing status of claims, online access to documents and much more. There are online video tutorials for people who might need extra assistance.
