(Charlotte)- Governor Northam has dedicated Virginia’s 26th state forest. Charlotte State Forest has become the first publicly-accessible state land in Charlotte County. It sits on more than five-thousand acres and the Department of Forestry will maintain the area. Northam said the forest will enhance water quality and provide recreational opportunities.
