(Staunton)- Patients are once again being accepted at one of the state’s psychiatric hospitals. Western State Hospital in Staunton has reopened its doors after being closed by the Department of Behavior Health-and-Developmental Services. It was one of five behavioral hospitals that was closed back in July due to staffing issues. Officials say that problem has been addressed and Western State is operating at nearly 75-percent capacity.
