(Richmond)- Residents in some parts of the state are slowly preparing to break-in a new area code. The State Corporation Commission says many of us will need to dial 826. It comes as there is a shortage on phone numbers that start with ‘540.’ Fredericksburg is included in the change. It’s expected to go into place by next summer.
