2.2-Million Virginians Eligible For COVID Vaccine Booster

(Richmond)- State health officials say nearly two-point-two million Virginians are now eligible for a coronavirus booster shot. People 65 or older who have received the Moderna vaccine can get a booster six months after their second of the original two-dose regimen. Boosters also are available to people age 18 and older if they have underlying health conditions or work or live in a setting that puts them at higher risk of contracting the virus. Anyone 18 or older who got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine can get a booster two months after receiving the initial single-shot dose.
