(Charles County)- The weather is forcing maryland transportation officials to delay some road work in Southern Maryland. One southbound lane near the Nice/Middleton Bridge was set to close earlier this week to install new overhead signage. The lane closures have now been pushed back to Sunday and will last through late Fall. The new four-lane bridge crossing Charles County into Virginia is set to open by 2023.
