Virginia Schools Will Asses Math And Reading Skills

(Richmond)- Schools across the state will be assessing the academic damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional testing in math and reading for students in grades three through eight is mandatory. It’s part of new legislation signed earlier this year that requires schools to assess students’ progress at the beginning, middle and end of the school year. One of the goals is to identity areas of learning interrupted by the pandemic.
