(Arlington)- Placing your groceries inside of a shopping bag will soon come at a cost in Northern Virginia. The Arlington County Board approved a five-cent local tax on disposable bags. So beginning next year, residents in Arlington and Fairfax counties, as well as the City of Alexandria, will have to pay-up for the bags. Stores will also get a share of the tax revenue.
