Governor Northam Announcing Artifacts Going Into New Time Capsule

(Richmond)- The 39 artifacts that go into Virginia’s new time capsule have been selected. Governor Northam is revealing which items were chosen to go into the concrete pedestal of the Robert E. Lee Monument in Richmond. Among the artifacts are a vaccination card, a photo of a Black ballerina in front of the Lee statue, a Black Lives Matter sticker, and an expired vial of the Pfizer COVID vaccine. The Department of Historic Resources will get the original time capsule, which is believed to date back to 1887.
