(Richmond)- When it comes to teacher pay, Virginia is ranking among the worst in the U.S. That’s according to a study from business-dot-org, which found that teachers in Virginia make more than those in states like Mississippi and Arkansas. However, the commonwealth came in 50th when considering what teachers make compared to those with other jobs. DC took last place. In Virginia, teachers reportedly make ten-point-four-percent less than other occupations, with an average salary of just under 54-thousand-dollars.
