(Richmond)- The Virginia Senate gives the okay to a measure calling for DMV offices to allow walk ins. The measure sponsored by Northern Virginia Democrat Chap Peterson must still pass the House of Delegates and be signed by Governor Northam. DMV officials say the COVID-19 emergency inspired system of pre arranged appointments is still the preferred way because it is safe, efficient and time saving.
